How to add different size guide charts to different product types?
If you are selling different types of products in your store (t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, etc.) or even different models of the same product, you will need personalized size charts for each.
The BuildMyPOD theme allows you to have a separate size chart for every product type you have!
Here's how to do this:
- The first step is to create your own size guide. By default, BuildMyPOD provides you with a basic size guide for T-shirts (Guildan 64000), but you can create your own using Canva or any tool of your preference.

- After creating your size guide, download it.
- On Shopify, go to Online Store >>>> Themes and click to edit the BuildMyPOD theme.
- Open the product that the size guide represents.
You only need to set this up for one product, and it will automatically apply to all products of the same type.
- On the product page, check the menu on the left side and search for 'Size Guide Popup'. Click on the arrow to expand the section.
- The theme has three size guide blocks by default. You can use each of them to add a different size guide per product type.
- To add the size guide to any of the options, double-click on it. You can then replace the image with your own size guide.
- You can change the Product Type to your product. For example, if you create a different size guide for Gildan 5050, state it as the Product Type, and it will apply to all Gildan 5050 products.
The Product Type must match the product type added on Shopify. If it doesn't, the size guide image won't be visible.
To check this, open the product inside Shopify and look for the Product Organization section. The 'Type' field needs to be the same as the one you added for the size guide.
- Don't forget to save the theme to see the changes applied!
- If you have more than three different product types and need more size guides, you can create additional ones by adding more blocks.
11. You just need to select the Product Size Guide Image to create a new block.
- You can have as many size guides as you need!
